We look forward to welcoming you for our 4th edition of the Coochie Classic being held Sunday, 4th October 2026.
The Coochie Classic is a mixed fleet sailing event hosted by the Cleveland Yacht Club. The race will feature catamarans, dinghies, and windsurfers, wingfoilers and surf skis with course configuration and divisions determined on the day based on conditions and entries. The event is designed to be more social than the Peel Island Marathon and features a scenic trip down to Coochiemudlo Island through flatter waters of the bay and included sausage sizzle and social gathering! Due to the social nature of the event and distances covered, sailors and paddlers are encouraged to bring a hand-held VHF radio and tune into channel 11.
Entries are open to all off-the-beach dinghies, cats, windsurfers, wingfoilers and surf skis.
